The Danish Safety Technology Authority can approve laboratories to control emission level measurements of content of tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide in cigarettes.
Accredited by DANAK
Laboratories that are interested in becoming an approved laboratory to check emission level measurements in cigarettes must apply to the Danish Safety Technology Authority.
In order to obtain an approval, the laboratory must be accredited by DANAK, The Danish Accreditation Fund, or by an equivalent other European accreditation body. A laboratory which wants an approval or has been approved may not be owned or directly or indirectly controlled by the tobacco industry.
