If you manufacture, store or market e-cigarettes or refill containers with or without nicotine in Denmark, you must be registered with the Danish Safety Technology Authority. You must register your company and the individual e-cigarette places.

Types of e-cigarette places
There are 3 types of e-cigarette places:
Marketing places
You must register a marketing place, if you market e-cigarettes or refill containers with or without nicotine to Danish consumers. An example of a marketing place is a webpage or a geographic place.
You must pay a fee per registered marketing place. The first registration lasts until the end of the year. Thereafter you must maintain your registration and pay an annual fee by January 1.

Places for manufacturing
You must register a place of manufacturing, if you manufacture e-cigarettes or refill containers with or without nicotine or if you are having products manufactured and marketed under your name or trade mark.
Places for storage
You must register a place for storage, if you store e-cigarettes or refill containers with or without nicotine on another address than the place from where you sell your products.
Special registration rules
You must also register and pay fee for non-permanent places. An example of a non-permanent place is a mobile point of sale from which you sell e-cigarette products.
If you attend trade fairs or similar and sell e-cigarette products, you must register as a temporary marketing place. Registration is exempted from fee.
