Place of retail sale outside the EU
If the place of retail sale has been established outside the EU, you must register with the competent authorities in the EU-country where the consumers are located. Often the competent authorities are a Ministry of Health. The Danish Safety Technology Authority can assist in appointing registration sites from foreign competent authorities.
The cause of registration is that certain EU-countries ban cross-border distance selling of tobacco, electronic cigarettes, etc. Places of retail sale, which run cross-border distance selling, must not deliver goods to consumers in the Member States where such a sale is forbidden.
